Camfire Girls paraded on Trinidad Ave in 1964 for voter registration. It was the first time Washingtonians could vote in a presidential election since the city’s founding.
Campfire Girls was the first nonsectarian, multicultural organization for girls in America - emphasizing camping and outdoor activities.
