INSPIRED BY: Stop #2: 7th Street & Indiana Avenue NW
Inspired by Civil War photographer, Mathew Brady's, photograph of Miss Outwater. Brady opened his studio at 627 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC in 1849. The building still remains, only slightly altered. It was at this same time in history that the Temperance movement and Prohibition started to take hold. The "Temperance Fountain" stands around the corner from Brady's studio.
